UMAT 2010 – Test Format

The UMAT test paper is divided into three sections. The Prepgenie Sample Papers have been likewise divided into the three UMAT test categories:

Section I     Logical Reasoning and Problem Solving

UMAT Section I contains short text or graphic passages with MCQs on them to check your reasoning and problem solving skills. The passages are not necessarily Science based and can deal with a variety of topics.

Section II    Understanding People

Being a doctor is more than just being good at Biology. How well do you understand relationships? Section II has passages that are dialogue based with a series of MCQs on them.

Section III   Non-verbal Reasoning

A list of diagrams displaying a series in progression has to be logically analysed and the corresponding letter, figure or shape has to be derived.
